Weight Watchers week 1

So, week one weigh in was highly successful. I lost 6.4 pounds.  I know not every week will be that way, but I am off to a good start. I tracked everything this week, never used my extra 49 points, and drank my water like a good girl.
I also tried two foods I have never had before.  Edamame roasted in sea salt (4 points for 1/4 cup) really helps satisfy that salty craving.  Mango in vanilla yogurt is a great dessert or snack.  Not canned mango (that was NOT tasty) though.  The frozen ones are good.
We are going out to eat for Easter dinner so I will have to be careful and maybe even use a few of my extra points.
My goal is to get to the gym at leat three times this week.

My weaknesses

I have many weaknesses in relations to eating, but my two biggest are candy bars and cereal.  I know cereal sounds strange, but if it is in the house I cannot leave it alone.  I don't just eat it for breakfast either.  I can and will eat it anytime.  Do any of you have any good recipes for sweet treats that won't totally derail my diet?

For dessert tonight we are having sugar free chocolate pudding.  Healthy choice right?  I am really trying.  Tomorrow I am going to take a two mile walk.  I have to get prepared for this 5K on Saturday.  I am super nervous about it.  There is one BIG BIG hill.  I am sure I will be huffin and puffin once I get to the top.  Hope you are all doing well on this beautiful Monday.  I am loving my spring break week.

03/04/12

Well, it seems like I am starting over again.  I get tired of doing this.  I have resolved to succeed this time for my sons.  They deserve to have me around for a long time.  I don't want to leave them motherless at an early age.  I am not following a "diet" persay.  I am just watching  portions and not eating sweets.  I am still caffeine free, but have one or two sodas a week.  I am not under any delusions that this will be easy, but my mauntra is, "this is for Noah and Luke."  I will keep you posted.
